The Party is proud to announce the including of a Quake Live tournament to their lineup. The mode to be played is 4v4 CTF. This would be a premier for a Quake Live CTF tournament on LAN in Europe. The tournament
is to be played out on tournament
computers to allow for greater accessibility for international players and teams that cannot bring their own computers. The tournament will feature prizes for the top finishing teams, like headsets, graphic cards, keyboards, mice, motherboards etc. There will also be a small amount of money available to distribute if enough teams show up to make the tournament a success. General Details Tournament: QLCTF 4v4 Date: 6-7-8th of April 2012 Location: Convention Center Eindhoven, Netherlands (http://www.beursgebouw.nl/) Scale: 1500 to 2000 gamers Website: http://www.the-party.nl/ mIRC: #theparty (on Quakenet) Prizes: * 4x Gaming Headsets * 8x Steelseries Mousepads * 4x Gaming Mouse * More to come..
How to enter the tournament:
The Quake Live tournament will have special tickets to gain entry. http://www.duh-shop.nl/?wpsc_product_category=tpcompetitions.
The tournament ticket will give you access for Saturday only. This is the day the majority of the tournament will be held. The ticket will give you access to all designated areas (bar to spectate matches as well + free drinks).
Exception: If your team is knocked out in the tournament on Saturday, you will have to buy a spectator ticket (10 euro) to stay for Sunday. This ticket is available for purchase at the event itself. Teams that are in the Finals and 3rd/4th Place matches do not need the spectator ticket as they still have to play on Sunday. Spectator tickets also give access to free drinks and stream/bar area for Quake Live.
People with a Quake Live tournament ticket only are not able to stay over night at the event. You will have to book a hotel or arrange other means to stay somewhere.
If you buy a BYOC ticket, you will still have to buy a ticket for the Quake Live tournament, however it will only cost you 5 euro then.
In short:
* The entry for the QLCTF tournament will cost you 15 euro (without a BYOC ticket). It will be 5 euro if you have a BYOC ticket.
* The QLCTF tournament ticket is only valid Saturday. If you want to stay longer (spectate) you will have to buy a spectator ticket for Sunday. Exception is if your team reaches the Final or 3rd/4th Place match.
* Spectator tickets also give access to free drinks and stream/bar area for Quake Live.
* Only BYOC tickets allow you to sleep at the event itself. If you only purchase a QLCTF tournament ticket, you will have to find other means of stay (hotel/friend's house).
* With a QLCTF tournament ticket, you gain access to free drinks on Saturday. You can spectate the games on a beamer located in a bar.
* If you combine the QLCTF tournament with a hotel, it will approximately cost you 15 or 25 euro (depending on performance of team/wanting to stay) + ~27,50 euro (1 night hotel). So ~40 to 60 euro total. This will be cheaper compared to a BYOC ticket if you do not bring your PC and will save you costs of drinks on Saturday. Also most hotels provide you with a breakfast in the morning.
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me about it.

Hotels
Options:
The best would be to get two people in one room. It is possible to get a 25/30 euro PP rate then, a single room is usually full price of two people.
~40 euro per night (based on 1 person)
* http://www.3be.nl/3bebackpackersbc.html - 35 euro per night, 40 if you want to shower and 45 if you want breakfast with it. (10 minute walking distance to the event).
* http://www.budgethotel.nl/ - 28 euro per night, 8 euro for your own shower in the room and 6 euro for a breakfast. (10 minute walking distance to the event).
~30-35 euro per night (based on 2 person)
* http://www.hotels.nl/eindhoven/crowninn/#/rates/all/ - Probably one of the better choices. Center of Eindhoven and ~30 euro per person per night. You need a roommate to get it for that rate.
* http://en.valk.com/pages/Default.aspx?ID=3393&propertyCode=EIN&i=11 - Will be approximately 35 euro PP per night. I wouldn't add breakfast, since that costs 12,50. You are better of eating something outside then.

The Eindhoven Convention Center is located in Eindhoven. For international players it might be possible to fly directly to Eindhoven, since there is an airport located in the city.
If players or teams need any help organizing the trip with flights and transfers, feel free to contact me about it. I will be able to help you select the cheapest way of traveling to the LAN.
You are able to sleep in the Convention Center as it would be a normal LAN. So bring a sleeping bag and/or something you can rest comfortable on (or not) to make your nights a bit decent. So there is no need to book a hotel or anything if you want to reduce costs.
